Email ID Cannot Be Unverified or Removed from BFL Account || Unverification of Phone Number or Email

Unverify or Removing Email ID or Phone Number Requests or Account Deletion

Overview

Brands For Less does not support unverifying, editing, or removing the registered email ID from a customer account once it has been added. This is due to strict data security, privacy, and information security (infosec) compliance protocols.

Once an email address is verified and linked to an account, it becomes a permanent identifier for access and communication. There is no manual override or system option for unverifying or deleting an email ID from the account — neither by the customer nor by our support team.


Why Can't an Email ID Be Unverified or Removed?

  • Email ID is a primary identifier and used for login, communication, and account actions (e.g., deletion, security alerts).

  • Unverifying or removing an email ID may compromise account security or cause unauthorized access.

  • Infosec compliance strictly prohibits internal edits to a customer's verified email address.

  • For account deletion, the registered email is mandatory to receive the deletion link.


What Can Customers Do?

If the customer:

  • Entered a wrong email (typo or incorrect address)

  • No longer has access to the registered email

  • Accidentally used someone else's email

They can:

  1. Contact can change the email registered with their account only twice in the account lifetime by using below option.

  2. Email ID change can be done only via the Brands For Less App.

  3. Open the Brands For Less App.

  4. Go to Login / Register.

  5. Enter the new email ID and click Continue.

  6. The customer will land on the Create Account screen.

  7. Enter:

    • Full Name

    • Password

    • Mobile Number linked to the old account.

  8. Click Sign Up.

  9. A pop-up will appear:

    “The mobile number is currently linked with the old email address. Verifying it will add this mobile number to the new account and unlink it from the old one.”

  10. Click Update.

  11. Customer will receive an OTP on the registered mobile number.

  12. Enter the OTP and click Verify.

  13. Remember, all the Loyalty points, Wallet balance in an account can be utilized even if the email ID is incorrect. Customer can redeem the wallet and points at any of our stores by providing the OTP sent to their registered phone number.  Alternatively, they can send message " LOYALTY-SmileMore " to this number: +971 4 825 2526   through WhatsApp from their registered mobile number and redeem the points / vouchers / wallet for any of the store purchases. 

Support agents cannot modify, remove, or unverify the registered email under any condition.


Can I update the Phone number linked to my account?

Customers can:

  • Change the registered mobile number anytime via the app:

    • Open the BFL App

    • Go to Account > Account Details

    • Tap on the phone number field and update it

Change of Registered Email ID

1. When Customer Requests to Change Their Email ID

I understand you’d like to update your registered email address. You can easily do this through the Brands For Less App, and I’ll guide you through the quick steps. Please note that the email address can be changed a maximum of two times only per account, and after that, it cannot be updated again.


Step-by-Step Guidance to Customer

You can follow these simple steps to update your email ID:

1️⃣ Open the Brands For Less App
2️⃣ Tap Login / Register
3️⃣ Enter your new email ID and click Continue
4️⃣ On the Create Account page, enter your name, password, and the mobile number linked to your old account
5️⃣ Click Sign Up
6️⃣ A message will appear saying that your mobile is linked to an existing email ID – click Update
7️⃣ Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile and click Verify

Once done, your email ID will be successfully updated, and you can continue using your points and wallet as usual 



 When Customer Has Already Changed Twice

I understand your request. However, the system allows the email ID to be changed only two times per account for security reasons. In this case, the registered email can no longer be modified. You can continue to log in and receive updates using your current registered email address.
